Happy Friday Reader! The end of Q1 is already upon us, and we are celebrating meeting one of our key Q1 goals! I've stayed on top of things by syncing my project management tool (Asana) and my CRM system (Hubspot). Major learning there is that task-oriented plans + informed strategy = recipe for success (barring lack of execution). I know it's hard to stop and take time to think about our operational processes when we are hit with nonstop policy changes and rhetoric about the nonprofit industry. I pray for everyone's health and peace during these trying times. With faith, we will overcome. Reflection: The plan to rebrandThis business was formed a little over 3 years ago, and without having put too much thought into a name, we landed on the basic "Last Name Consulting" LLC setup. In a post on LinkedIn, I shared my plans to rebrand the business to align our work with our values. Placing our faith at the forefront of our work. Although the name of Mata Consulting will be retired, we're just starting our work in this industry. We do not have a launch date for the new brand just yet. However, Mata Consulting will begin its transformation to Made Anew Systems. The name originated after prayer while on a 6 am flight to present a workshop with a client in the Bay Area. Not knowing what to rename the business to, I knew I wanted to give it to God, and after a few minutes, I wrote 'Made New Systems' in my notebook. This name stood out to me in several ways, both scripturally and figuratively. 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new." It is through salvation that we are made new. In a more figurative sense, our work with CRMs for nonprofits is very much about renewing or creating their systems—making them anew! Finding the business name that combined our faith with our practice felt so liberating as if my answer and path had been there since the start. When God shows up like that, I know I am on the right path, and there's nothing like it! Even the other night at church, He showed up when I was feeling anxious about the pressures of life and lifted me - if you are feeling anxious, I highly recommend you check out this sermon, Anxious For Nothing. If you have a story where God showed up for you, please share! Share.Do me a favor, and share this newsletter with your friends. We want you to:

Nonprofit leaders who are tired of messy data, disconnected systems, and lack of donor and programmatic insights this newsletter is for you. Welcome to your one stop shop for all things nonprofit CRMs.
Hey Reader, This week, we are going down the rabbit hole of a recent Salesforce report. Salesforce just released their 7th annual Nonprofit Trends Report. They surveyed 1,229 nonprofits across six countries. The findings cover fundraising, AI adoption, staffing, digital channels, and program outcomes. What kept coming up was infrastructure. Orgs investing in better fundraising strategies and AI tools while the data underneath those investments isn't ready to support them. Staff leaving and...
Hey Reader, I've received some great feedback from last week's issue and I hope to continue that momentum today! Let me know what's resonating and what you would like to see in these emails. Let's get into it... The Tool-First Trap The question I get asked more than any other — at every event, every discovery call, every session I run — is this: 'Which CRM should we use?' And I understand why. The CRM is the thing you can see. It has a price tag. It feels like the decision. But in almost...
Hey Reader, There has been a lot of activity in the nonprofit world as of late, and I thought to share a few things that have come up during blog interviews, conference sessions/conversations, and nonprofit networking events. Three things came up so consistently that I'm treating them as sector patterns, and sharing what it means if you're seeing any of this inside your own organization. PATTERN 1: Data lives in too many places, and nobody trusts any of them. The CRM has some of it. The...
